Lambda Prints
An original C-print, also known as a Lambda print, is a photo print of outstanding quality. Artists and renowned photographers have been working with this technique for many years. Connoisseurs prefer an original C-print because of the lack of raster or dot formation in the photo.
Original C-prints are manufactured using a photobelighter and chemically developed in a darkroom. We use only the very best photo paper with years of color guarantees.
Technique C-print | lambda photo print
A lambda photo print, also known as a C-print, uses an exposure technique similar to the conventional darkroom method. The images are exposed on light-sensitive material in the Durst Lambda printer.
Lambda | C-print photo printing
Three lasers are used in the exposure of the lambda photo print: red, green and blue. The photographic material is then processed and fixed. This photochemical process results in a stunning end result without grids. The intense colors, deep blacks and smooth contrast transitions give the photo prints a very realistic look.
Our lambda prints are available in a maximum size of 125x500 cm. These are often used for Fine Art Plexiglas (link). For these prints we use Fujicolor Crystal Archive Type DPII paper. Other paper types are available upon request.
