MAKING THE WHOLE PICTURE PERFECT TOGETHER
Wall decoration is emotion. At CRE8 we know that all too well. By creating the right atmosphere with wall decorations you give a space something extra. We do this by playing with materials, colors and images and matching them with different living styles. We do this together with Anna Borsboom of Stylink. Anna is an absolute specialist when it comes to collection development. With her eye for detail and eye for trends we created the collections for Wandkraft together.
At CRE8 we also create wall decor collections under private label. We also did this for one of the largest home furnishing stores in the Netherlands; Goossens Wonen & Slapen. Goossens asked us to create a wall decoration collection that they could sell in their stores and that would contribute to the sales of their products such as couches, chairs and furniture. We accepted the challenge and created a collection that both parties are very proud of.
Wall decorations for every style of living
Goossens Wonen & Slapen is a family business that has been around for 65 years. With their 19 stores throughout the Netherlands, they ensure every day that many a living room and bedroom receives a tasteful atmosphere boost. In the field of wall decoration, Goossens had a clear wish and knocked on CRE8's door. After many discussions, visits to interior design stores and studying the Goossens trend book, we started working with Anna Borsboom.
We first segmented the styles and added color keys. Then we started looking for matching themes that matched the living styles of Goossens. Examples of these living styles are Stylish Country, Modern Design, Elegant Chic and Industrial. We looked for images and came up with surprising theme choices, such as paintings by Vincent van Gogh, feathers and horses. As surprising as the theme choices were, they fitted perfectly with the living styles and met the requirements of Goossens. We then printed the collection on various materials, such as white dibond, brushed aluminum, wood and glass. With this, the collection was ready to be presented.
Checking the images & creating the packaging
The presentation took place at our product location in Gronau. Sam Yu Wu, Category Manager Accessories at Goossens Wonen & Slapen and our contact person during the entire process, came to Germany to admire the result. Together we went through all the images and made a choice in which images would go on which material. After some minor color corrections, the images fit perfectly within the various living styles of Goossens. After the images were provided with article numbers, we took care of the packaging. In consultation with Goossens we created a packaging that combines style and protection.
Meanwhile, the collection has been rolled out under private label in the home furnishing stores of Goossens Wonen & Slapen. This to the great satisfaction of Goossens and to the great pride of CRE8. We have created a beautiful collection that perfectly matches the wishes and needs of the customer. Together we created something beautiful and made the picture complete.
About the collaboration with CRE8
"As Category Manager Accessories, I add emotion and experience to the assortment of Goossens Wonen & Slapen through accessories. Wall decoration is also part of that. I came into contact with Jorien and together we looked at how we could create a wall decoration collection for Goossens. Communication is very important in this process. It was great that Jorien listened carefully to our wishes and knew how to translate them into wall decorations.
I had already become very enthusiastic about the collections CRE8 created, such as Wandkraft. The materials they work with and the diversity of the images ensure that the result is just right. In the end, it was the combination of quality, speed of production and price that was the deciding factor for us to definitely work together.
The total project from idea to completion was very pleasant. We worked closely together and CRE8 left us room to make adjustments. In the end we created a beautiful collection that fits all our living styles. The great thing about CRE8 is that they offer the total package; from collecting the images to the packaging.
CRE8 is just a fine partner to work with. Together we made the complete picture perfect. And we are very satisfied with that."
